Microsoft was coy with an exact launch date, but the third iteration of the Zune will be out in the Fall. Most of the specs that were leaked last month were spot on, but let’s go over it one more time. Zune HD comes with a built-in HD Radio receiver (three HD channels as far as we know), Wi-Fi (instantly download podcasts from artists like Wale), an Internet browser with multi-touch functionality, an OLED touch-screen, and HD (720p) video output (you’ll need the Zune HD & AV dock, though). Moreover, Microsoft is finally integrating the Zune platform with the Xbox Live Video Marketplace. It’s unclear whether or not we’ll be able to port games from XBLA, but we’ll find out next week when Microsoft shows off the Zune HD and the latest Xbox 360 wares at E3.
