I’m a HUGE Katy Perry fan, but I wasn’t too impressed with her previous single, “Part of Me”.” Don’t get me wrong, it was a solid record, but with Katy, I’m accustomed to an iconic sound — the exceptional. Well her new single, “Wide Awake,” inches closer back to that. It’s no “California Gurls” or “Last Friday Night” but it’s vintage Katy and it’s a great song from her upcoming album, Teenage Dream: Complete Confection, due out March 27th.
