I got my Persols back in February to replace my older glasses which were damaged by a drunk homeless man. A few weeks ago Jay-Z is rocking them, along with a new hairstyle which seems to suit him.
Next thing I see Pharrell wearing them Tom Ford’s that look like Persols (thanks Paul!) tonight on ConcreteLoop

Trying to figure out where they land on the pyramid right now. The reason why I appreciate people like Jay-Z and Pharrell rocking Persols is because, when talking about glasses, they are far less expensive ($200-$300) than the stuff they normally rock (LV, Marc Jacobs, etc). This leads me to believe they truly appreciate the styling and craftsmanship of Persol.

Persols are under rated as hell. been rockin a few pairs of Persols a couple years now, great frames, real durable. you’re a little late on the Jay-Z spotting though, he rocked the same 649’s twice in november ‘07. In terms of fashion pyramid… Mcqueen and Mastroianni wore Persols onscreen and off, legends. Obedient Sons and Rag & Bone put 649s on the runway in September ‘07. Last Bond movie Craig wore Persols. Are yours the 2762s?
