[...] Mayer Hawthorne-”Maybe So, Maybe No” Caught this at Elitaste.  Stones Throw Records artist Mayer Hawthorne has released a music video for his new track “Maybe So, Maybe No.”  Like labelmates Madlib, J Dilla, and Dudley Perkins, Hawthorne’s sound is very soulful…more Raphael Saadiq than John Legend, though.   I’ve spent the past three summers living in Santa Monica and hanging out in Venice Beach (where the music video was filmed), so I was happy to see the familiar faces and landmarks featured in the clip.  Check it out above.
