Classic right here
He’s been making this documentary for years trying to get The Kinks back together. The Kinks are an English rock group formed in 1963, and categorized in the US as a British Invasion band. The Kinks have been cited as one of the most important and influential rock bands of all time. They broke up in 1996. I’m not super familiar with all their stuff but I got put onto them a few years ago when I heard Jon Brion do a cover of “Waterloo Sunset”. Amazing record.
Oldie but goodie. This song was recorded live at Bahama Bay in Philly; never in a studio.
This was amazing
This video and song are dope. Has the same sample at Pharcyde “Soul Flower remix”
Fatback Band “Put Your Love In My Tender Care”
Shouts to Will Smith for the internet reference during the Oscars. Was watching this in the international lounge at Sydney airport when I heard him drop this; I laughed out loud in spite of (or because of?) my delusional jet lag. Peep below for the original (worth watching the whole thing, but the dynamite goes boom at 2:28)
Not gonna lie, this looks kinda sick
This movie is fucking awesome. Written by Luc Besson who has blessed us with movies like The Professional (Gary Oldman delivers on of his best performances ever)
La Femme Nikita
The Fifth Element (amazing music by Eric Serra))
