I saw Seun Kuti and the Egypt 80 in concert tonight and was pretty blown away. Dude is Fela’s youngest son and is my age (26); seeing him play kinda makes me feel the same way when I see Gilbert Arenas. lol.
Anyway, Seun played with his dad’s band when he was 9 and has taken the responsibility of leading the band up again. Not sure what Femi Kuti thinks about all of this. Regardless, I recommend checking him out if he’s playing near you and hope that he and Wale get to work together.
