Only Kanye could get The Doors to come do an opening set at 6PM lol. Just kidding. Bad joke.

Just got back from a few days in Miami working with The Neptunes and seeing Kanye’s show for a second time. Going for a third time next week in Boston. It doesn’t get old. I had missed NERD’s set at the LA show but was lucky enough to catch it in Miami. Wow is all I gotta say. Kanye came by the studio to do a verse on the remix to “Everybody Nose.” Watching him work was incredible. He dropped one of the most clever verses I’ve heard in a long time. Here are some highlights:
Do you have any black in you? Would you like some?…
No more diet cokes, she on the coke diet…
100 dollar bills, achoo, achoo…

Wale, Teyana Taylor and Chad Hugo

Cavalli vodka anyone?

And the grossest candy ever made

And Pharrell has an iced out G-Shock which is one of the cooler things I’ve ever seen

Article written by the brilliant The Elitaste on the 30 Apr 2008 , in the Announcements category

People keep asking me what I wanna do for my birthday
So today I finally said, “Imma change the world on my birthday.”
They said, “how you gonna do that?”
I said, “Imma turn my phone off and watch things fall apart in hip hop music. You’re all welcome.”
Thanks for the advice Wale. LOL

All I gotta say is wow. Lots of percussion. Everyone sounded amazing. I loved the outfits. Dave’s reaction. Everyone rhyming along with Wale’s Olsen twin line. Classic.
