“The Idea is to remain in a constant state of departure, while always arriving. Saves on introductions and goodbyes.” This movie WAKING LIFE came out in 2001. The movie as a whole isn’t that great but there are bits and pieces that are awesome. This is one of them.
Their concert was amazing. I pulled up “In Search Of…” on my itunes and put it on repeat. Amazing album
This came on TV last night. I know everyone’s seen it. Just had to post though.
Very underrated yet powerful collabo from 2000. It’s funny to think that DJ Clue was like the late 90’s DJ Khaled. How sick would that be as an SAT analogy question? It sucks that Royce never blew up like he should because I think he’s got the goods. I highly recommend his mixtape The Bar Exam. That is truly one of the best mixtapes I’ve ever heard.

This was off a pretty solid album from the Attic Crew (ATL) back in 2003 (I think) featuring a soon-to-be-superstar T.I. Remains one of my favorite southern rap songs ever and definitely one of my top T.I. songs. It has also been copied endlessly by everyone fron Jay-Z to Three 6 Mafia.

Was gonna go see a movie tonight but it got too late and what do you know, High School High is on.
And the soundtrack had the joint “Wu Wear” on it…
looking back at this video, it’s crazy that all the members got solo deals and also crazy to see how much they cared about their outfits back then. Not saying there aren’t artists now who care just as much, but a lot of these dudes kinda gave up on dressing with the exception of maybe Ghost and Meth.
I used to be a Dane Cook fan, then he kinda became not funny. I met him the other night in LA and was reminded of my favorite bit of his complete with animation!
Been traveling so haven’t had a chance to post.
