Wale teamed up with Suzuki to help promote their new superbike, the Hayabusa. Unfortunately we didn’t get a free bike, but they did paint a mural in honor of Wale in DC on U Street I believe. Just got word that this will be the new Roots single and the video will be shooting on April 14 in NYC. Let the getting sick begin.
My little sister told me about them like 2 years ago. They went to Wesleyan University where my sister is a junior. She said they played a concert in the basement of her dorm freshman year. This was the first song she gave me of theirs. I then pitched it to use on Season 4 of ENTOURAGE. I bet they are sweating MGMT now. I just heard the song in that new movie 21, saw a screening a last week (one thumb up, not two). What’s up with all these 3D videos now? Do people actually have 3D glasses? Did I miss some sweepstakes or cereal box mail in prize where everyone got 3D glasses? Regular version below the 3D for all the not cool kids.
Say what you want, but Boosie is a great rapper. One can easily lump him in with disposable southern ringtone rappers but I see something totally different. I heard from a shoe designer at Nike that Kanye got Nike to build him some prototypes of the shoes Michael J. Fox wore in BACK TO THE FUTURE II. I was so mad.
However, I recently found out that was not the case and in fact Kanye got his own limited edition shoe, the Air Yeezy. This isn’t a limited Dunk or SB…this is his own shoe. So powerful. He wore them at the Grammys.
They look like a combination of the Ato Matsumoto
And maybe a Nike Flight 89?
You can see the exposed air bubble on the side a la the Flight 89, Jordan 3 and Jordan IV (Kanye’s favorite Jordan). Nike doesn’t put that air bubble on any new sneakers, only retros. This shoe is sick though. Not sure if it will ever be released.
Just a little something that keeps me and Wale inspired. This is one of those songs you need to listen to four times in a row every time you listen to it.
