Click HERE to download. This is one of my favorite tracks off Viva La Vida but man…Jay is not really coming correct on the remixes lately; from this to Boyz. Jay…what’s up?
His cover issue hits stands November 4th
DJ AM played the original “A Milli” sample before Jay went into his version last night. For those who don’t know it’s from this Tribe “Left My Wallet In El Segundo (Vampire Remix)”. Enjoy.

Concert was awesome. He performed for about two hours. No breaks. Bleek joined him for a bunch of songs. T.I. came out for “Swagger Like Us.” Jay has so many hits; he really covered them all. Only song I didn’t hear that I was hoping for was “The Watcher,” you know, since we were in LA. At the end for his encore, he got behind the turntables and started cycling through the first 4 bars of all his hits on the instant replay machine. Energy was crazy. He was rocking his new signature Persol shades, a black Rocawear t-shirt, what appeared to be an LRG jacket and some raw denim. I couldn’t see what shoes he was wearing. Got a few pics after the jump. No new material except “Jockin Jay Z.” Got a flight to DC in the morning; need sleep. (more…)
My good friend Peter wrote a story for Vanity Fair about the De La Hoya fight in December. Part 1 is up online now. Go check it out.

This is the first leaked track off “LRG x Wale x 9th Wonder presents: Back To The Feature.” Yes this mixtape is still going down. Yes it’s gonna be fire. And yes you are gonna be blown away to see who we got on here; shit is gonna be outside the box like a kid on Christmas morning (you like that? I just made that up). And yes, 9th flipped the Curtis Mayfield “Short Eyes” sample
that Wale used on “Back In The Go Go” (and also on “Vacation From Ourselves” and that Jay used on “American Gangster”). What you will soon discover about the Back To The Feature Mixtape is that not only do we have ridiculous features on there, but 9th took your favorite rapper’s favorite songs that you probably didn’t even know had samples in it and flipped them. Man I am almost anticipating this as much as I am Wale’s album.
